About Us

Progressive Publishing began more than 30 years ago. Founder Leon Leavitt designed the company’s first publication, Progressive Dairy, to provide timely, professional information to dairy farmers in Idaho.

Over the years, Progressive Dairy has grown in influence, securing loyal readers through the U.S. and Canada. We now publish four additional titles — Progressive Dairy: Canada, Progressive Dairy – en français, Progressive Cattle and Progressive Forage.

Our company handles all aspects of its magazines’ creation and circulation. From writing and editing to full-service ad design and layout, we are committed to providing unbiased, progressive information relevant to the producers and advertisers in today’s agricultural markets.

Progressive Publishing may still be considered a “new kid on the block” with just 30 years of company history, but the company competes with longer-standing publications in a variety of categories. The company has nearly a decade of awards and recognitions in its repertoire. Here are some of the accolades the team has been honored to receive, listed with the most recent first.
